Arrive on time and bring a writing utensil, you will not be permitted to take the class if you are 10 or more minutes late.

To be eligible to take AHA ACLS at Saint Vincent Hospital, you are required to have taken a rhythm recognition course such as SVH Basic D (preferred) or SVH Rhythms No Blues. To successfully pass AHA ACLS, you must pass the written posttest with a minimum score of 84% and successfully perform the skills and mega code.

If you'd like to sign out an ACLS book to study in advance of class – talk to your educator or email SVAmericanHeartClasses@ahn.org to make arrangements to get a book. Further information regarding the class: ACLS study handouts, recommended online pre-course assessment and steps to set up an Ethos account needed to obtain continuing education credits will be emailed 7-14 days prior to class.

ACLS Provider - two day course

  • This course is designed for first time course participants or those who no longer hold a current ACLS provider card.

  • Please select the correct PROMO code on registration. They're found on the right side of your computer screen. Scroll to the bottom of this page when using a cell phone or tablet.

  • Please use your AHN email address on registration to receive the auto generated confirmation email. If you entered a personal email address, your confirmation email will be in your spam.  

  • A CPR credential will not be issued through attendance of this course.

Allegheny General Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Allegheny General Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM

PROMO CODES

Please enter the appropriate code for your registration, these codes will reduce or eliminate the tuition obligation based on your current employment status. The PROMO code selected for any registration will be reviewed for eligibility. Leave this field blank if none of the below apply. 

EMPREQ - This code provides tuition exemption for AHN employees (hospital, clinic, and outpatient facility staff) attending courses required for their current role. An AHN Employee ID and department name are mandatory for registration. This code does not apply to Travel Nurse placements at AHN.

EMPNOTREQ - This code offers a reduced tuition rate of $175 for AHN employees attending ACLS or PALS courses that are not required for their current role. An AHN Employee ID is mandatory for registration. This code does not apply to Travel Nurse placements at AHN.

SYSREQ - AHN Medical Command Paramedics only: This code grants tuition exemption for ACLS, BLS, PALS, and PHTLS courses specifically required to maintain Medical Command status. This code is not valid for Instructor Courses.

SYSAFF - AHN Affiliates (e.g., WPH and Citizens school of nursing) This code reduces tuition to $175. It is not valid for CPR, PHTLS, or Instructor Courses. This code does not apply to Travel Nurse placements at AHN. 

MEDICNONSYSTEM - Paramedics (EMT-P) who do not receive medical command through AHN. This code offers a reduced tuition rate of $100 for ACLS and PALS. This code is not applicable for RN, PHRN, MD registrations.  ACCME CEU's will not be awarded when this code is used.

EMERUS - This code provides tuition exemption for Emerus Employees only. 

USACS - This code provides tuition exemption for USACS employees only.  

HIGHMARK - Highmark Employees (Non-Hospital Staff): This code provides tuition exemption for credentials required for your current position.
